Dolphins Fear Chad Henne Could Miss Rest Of Season; Trying To Sign Veteran QB

The Miami Dolphins fear the injury to quarterback Chad Henne's non-throwing shoulder could be season-ending, Jeff Darlington of NFL.com reports.

Henne was injured during Sunday's 26-16 loss to the San Diego Chargers and is seeking a second opinion on the shoulder today. Matt Moore replaced Henne, completing 17-of-26 pass attempts for 167 yards, but was intercepted by safety Eric Weddle on the Dolphins' final offensive play, dropping his passer rating to 67.3.

Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reports the Dolphins have tried, but failed to sign a veteran quarterback this week. Spurning the Dolphins' offer was former Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Garrard and Jake Delhomme, the longtime starter for the Carolina Panthers who spent last season playing for Dolphins offensive coordinator Brian Daboll with the Cleveland Browns.

In five games with the Browns, Delhomme completed 93-of-148 pass attempts for 872 yards with two touchdowns and seven interceptions.
