Packers confident they have lasting nucleus

The most annoying line of questioning I heard after the Super Bowl involved words “Brett Favre.”
Honorable mention:  There were a handful of questions about a possible Packers repeat next season.  The young roster makes it a natural topic, but it seems a little early, don’t you think?
“Handling success is a whole different thing,” G.M. Ted Thompson said when asked about a repeat in the locker room.   “Mike [McCarthy] and I will sit down.  . . . I’m not thinking about next year this second.”
Speaking on NFL Network, Aaron Rodgers noted that the team will get Jermichael Finley back in the mix next year and they should get their key young players back.  Michael Irvin relayed a conversation he had with Rodgers three years ago where he told Rodgers the Packers could be a dynasty.
While it’s far too early for that sort of talk, Packers cornerback Charles Woodson believes the Packers have the ingredients to get back to the big game.
