Vikings WR Percy Harvin is expected to play on Monday night vs. the Bears after seeing a migraine specialist in Arizona to deal with his constant headache problems.
Harvin told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune that he is ready to face Chicago despite missing some practice this week while meeting with the specialist at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Ariz. The second-year pro has missed three games in two NFL seasons because of migraines.
"Feeling great now," Harvin told the newspaper. "I had a bad two weeks. I think the last week was more precautionary, seeing how I react to a lot of the new medicines I was on."
Harvin said the clinic has worked with other NFL players with headache issues, including former Broncos RB Terrell Davis.
Migraines are a serious issue for anyone, but especially a football player who takes big hits to the head on a weekly basis. It is good for Harvin that he is feeling better and good for the Vikings that their top receiver will be able to play vs. the division-rival Bears.

With the Vikes likely starting third-string QB Joe Webb on Monday, using any Minnesota receiver is a risky bet.
