“I think that’s kind of the goal,” Gates told the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Per the report, the team wants him to get as healthy as possible since tearing his plantar fascia in his right foot.
He has missed the past two games.
Gates leads the Chargers with 50 catches for 782 yards and 10 touchdowns.
“I don’t ever rule myself out,” Gates said. "It’s just tough.”
