Leroy Harris Hopes to Remain With Titans

Tennessee Titans guard Leroy Harris' rookie contract has expired, putting the former fourth round pick out of North Carolina State in the group of players with four accrued seasons who may be denied unrestricted free agency if a new collective bargaining agreement isn't reached.

Harris has been working out with teammates in the Nashville area during the lockout, and tells Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean that he'd like to be back with the Titans.

"I would definitely like to be back with the Titans," Harris told Wyatt on Tuesday. "I love Coach Munchak and I really like Bruce. I had a chance to talk to him a couple of times in the hallway before we locked out and him and Munch are very similar. It would be good to be back. We’ll see what happens."

After three seasons as a backup, Harris (6-3, 303) started 15 games for the Titans in 2010. Prior to the expiration of the collective bargaining agreement, the Titans placed a "Second Round" restricted free agent tender on Harris, which would carry a $1.91 million base salary during the 2011 season.

Harris earned $555,000 in 2010.
