Dolphins Re-Sign C Richie Incognito

Miami Dolphins center/guard Richie Incognito has signed a three-year extension, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Signed to a one-year, $1.35 million contract last March, Incognito started 16 games for the Dolphins last season.

A center coming out of Nebraska, Incognito played guard his first few seasons in the league with the St. Louis Rams and Buffalo Bills. Incognito moved back to center late last season, which is where his future in South Florida might be.

The most impressive aspect of Incognito's season was his ability to cut down on his penalties.

Flagged 38 times between 2006 and 2009, including 12 personal foul/unnecessary roughness-type flags, Incognito was penalized just three times in 2010, none for the sort of undisciplined plays he became well-known for.
