Browns LB D'Qwell Jackson Signs 1-Year Deal

Linebacker D'Qwell Jackson has signed a one-year deal to remain with the Cleveland Browns, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

According to Schefter, the "incentive-laden" deal can be worth as much as $4.5 million.

A second-round pick (34th overall) out of the University of Maryland in 2006, Jackson has started 48 of his 49 career games, totaling 407 tackles, 3 quarterback sacks, 4 interceptions, and 11 passes defensed.

Jackson's top season came in 2008, where he led the Browns in tackles for a second consecutive season with 154, and set career-highs with two quarterback sacks and 3 interceptions.

Rules governing the uncapped season prevented Jackson from unrestricted free agency in 2010, which he played under a "Second Round" restricted free agent tender. Jackson suffered a torn right pectoral muscle in August and was placed on injured reserve in late September.

Jackson missed 10 games in 2009 due to torn left pectoral muscle.
