Brady is questionable with a calf injury

Like teammate Rob Gronkowski, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has said he’ll be ready to play on Sunday.  And as with Gronk, the official word on Brady’s availability from the team is “maybe.”
The Patriots have listed both Gronkowski (knee) and Brady (calf) as questionable for Sunday’s regular-season opener against the Dolphins.
“Physically I had the day off, but I got a lot of extra film in,” Brady told Jim Gray of Westwood One on Thursday.  “I got a lot of extra mental reps in and walk-throughs and such and I’ll be ready to go Sunday.”
Officially, it’s a coin-flip, 50/50 possibility that Brady will play.  Which means, for all non-mathematicians out there, that the chances of Brady playing match the chances he won’t.
It will be a shock if he doesn’t.  It remains a mystery as to how he became injured.  And it will remain a mystery as to when he’s healthy, with the Patriots providing only the bare minimum via the injury report.
