Jets RB LaDainian Tomlinson To Miss Thursday Night's Game

New York Jets running back LaDainian Tomlinson's sprained left MCL will keep him out of Thursday night's game against the Denver Broncos, reports Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.

Tomlinson was injured on a six-yard run with just over two minutes to play in the Jets' 37-16 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday night.

The Jets did not practice on Monday, though the Jets estimated that Tomlinson would not have practiced had they actually done so. Reports out of Florham Park, New Jersey today were that Tomlinson did some light agility work on a side field while his teammates practiced.

The 32-year-old running back is second behind Shonn Greene with 46 rushing attempts for 167 yards and a touchdown this season. Tomlinson's 25 receptions ranks fourth on the Jets.

With Tomlinson out, 2011 fourth-round pick Bilal Powell is expected to be active for Thursday night's game.
