Steelers' Pouncey playing?

There have been lots of reports that rookie Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey(notes) won't be in the lineup with the team takes the field in this Sunday's Super Bowl due to a high left ankle sprain, but the Pittsburgh Tribune Review has it from the man himself that he may be playing.

"There's a real good chance" he'll be ready to go when Sunday rolls around, Pouncey said, according to the paper. "Don't give up on me yet."

Pouncey had his hard cast taken off Monday and walked around without crutches. Now he'll ride a stationary bike and then work out in the pool before seeing how he is at Friday's practice. "Miracles do happen," he said, the paper reports. "Trust me, man, they do happen. I am walking around pretty good, and they didn't expect to have the cast off until later in the week."
