The Patriots lost another defensive lineman on Friday, but they surprisingly gained one back.
Mike Wright was placed on injured reserve, the team announced. Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald reports Brandon Deaderick will be activated off the suspended list to replace him.
Deaderick was suspended only four days ago, believed to be for being late or missing team meetings. Wright was arguably the most valuable defensive lineman on the team behind Vince Wilfork, so its a big loss. The team is thin up front, but that’s not really a new problem.
