In another bizarre twist to the Miami Dolphins' chaotic coaching situation, owner Stephen Ross was supposed to meet with former Cleveland Browns coach Eric Mangini earlier this week.
According to the Miami Herald, the meeting was cancelled.
Per the report, the team is saying they just wanted to talk to Mangini about a possible consultant role.
Mangini was fired by Browns team president Mike Holmgren after consecutive 5-11 seasons.
Ross also met with Jim Harbaugh, who ultimately decided to sign a five-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers.
The Dolphins didn't acknowledge the meeting until the newspaper asked them about it.
