Eagles turn to familiar face for help with pass rush

Derrick Burgess will get a second tour of duty with the Philadelphia Eagles after the team lost rookie first-round draft pick Brandon Graham to a torn ACL.
Burgess signed a two-year contract and he is back in the game after sitting out since being released by the New England Patriots at the end of the summer. Burgess was a second-round draft pick by the Eagles in 2001 and starred in their 2004 postseason run.
He went to the Oakland Raiders in free agency and had 27 sacks in two seasons for them as a Pro Bowl performer. He played for the Patriots last season. He figures as a situational pass rusher right now behind starters Trent Cole and Juqua Parker.
