Redskins win game, lose six new players to injury

Lost in all the Vince Young drama on Sunday was the winning team in Tennessee.
Washington battled back from their Monday Night beatdown to win a tough road game 19-16 to even their record at 5-5.  For one week, the quarterback-coach drama was on the other sideline.  (Actually, it will be for two weeks.  Washington faces the Vikings Sunday.)
The Redskins’ much-needed victory came with a significant price, though.  Clinton Portis‘ return from a groin injury lasted all of one quarter.  Starting offensive lineman Casey Rabach (knee), outside linebacker Lorenzo Alexander (hamstring), and inside linebacker Rocky McIntosh (groin) all left the game in the first quarter and did not return, according to Jason Reid of the Washington Post.
Two other Redskins reserves left the game with an injury, and backup running back Chad Simpson broke his foot in warmups.  He’ll need surgery.
Put that all together, and it’s remarkable the Redskins won on Sunday, even with Rusty Smith of the Titans trying his best to throw an interception on every pass.
