Giants WR Smith out for Sunday’s game

Giants WR Steve Smith will miss Sunday's game against the Cowboys with a partially torn pectoral muscle. He suffered the injury during practice on Thursday.

Smith set a franchise record with 107 catches in 2009. He has 47 receptions for 517 yards and three TDs this season.

C Shaun O'Hara (foot) and OLT David Diehl (hamstring/hip) also have been ruled out.

With Smith out, the Cowboys' secondary can key on WR Hakeem Nicks. WR Mario Manningham also could see some more looks. Backup C Adam Koets is on I.R. and the Giants' O-line continues to be injury-plagued. O'Hara should be back next week. The Giants did activate OL Kevin Boothe from the physically-unable-to-perform list and Shawn Andrews will be the left tackle.
