News out of Alameda, California today state that Oakland Raider running back Darren McFadden will not be playing this weekend. In his place, Michael Bush will be getting his first start of the year. This obviously has huge implications on fantasy rosters in every week as Run DMC had established himself as an every-week back leading into Oakland's bye last week. McFadden has rushed for 614 yards (5.4 YPC) this season and was a major reason the Raiders are off to a 4-3 start.
Obviously, the beneficiary of this news is Michael Bush, who honestly should already be on the roster of anyone who has McFadden because the guy has never played through a whole season without missing games due to injury.
If Michael Bush is available in your league grab him now. In fact, stop reading and go pick him up, then come back to finish the article.
Market Crash update:
Ahmad Bradshaw (RB-NYG) is officially doubtful for Sunday's game against the Patriots so it's officially time to find another running back. Brandon Jacobs will benefit the most and D.J. Ware will be in the picture as well.
Kevin Kolb (QB-Ari) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game as well. This means that John Skelton will be filling in down in Arizona. For those of you who remember Skelton's performances starting last year will know that he is not a viable plug-in for fantasy purposes. This will also lower the value of Larry Fitzgerald, but you're obviously starting him anyway.
Peyton Hillis (RB-Cle) is out for the third straight week. With Montario Hardesty on injured reserve, Chris Ogbonnaya becomes the starter in Cleveland. He is an interesting play in deep leagues, but you have to wonder if the Texans are going to put enough points on the board to force the Browns to abandon the run game. On the upside, Ogbnnaya is a great receiver out of the backfield and should fit the Browns West Coast style offense very well.
