Saints Agree to Terms With DT Shaun Rogers

The New Orleans Saints announced that they have agreed to terms with free agent nose tackle Shaun Rogers.

Financial terms of the one-year deal were not released.

Released by the Cleveland Browns on February 9, Rogers visited the Washington Redskins and Kansas City Chiefs before meeting with the Saints February 16.

A first-round pick out of Texas by the Detroit Lions in 2001, Rogers has 482 tackles, 37.5 quarterback sacks, 1 interception, and 39 passes defensed during his 140-game career.

By signing with the Saints, the three-time Pro Bowler returns to a 4-3 system he was very disruptive in during his time with the Lions.
