NFL Lockout at Midnight

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the NFL locked the players out at midnight eastern on Saturday, March 12.

The NFL instituting a lockout was expected after the NFL Players Association informed the league on Friday afternoon that it was decertifying.

Late Friday, nine NFL players, including quarterbacks Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees, filed an anti-trust lawsuit against the 32 NFL teams. The players are seeking a preliminary injunction that would prevent the NFL from imposing a lockout when the CBA expires at 11:59pm ET.
