Jaguars' Monroe, Alualu Purchase New Homes

Jacksonville Jaguars left tackle Eugene Monroe and defensive tackle Tyson Alualu, the team's first-round picks in each of the last two NFL drafts, have recently purchased new homes, Robert Ward of the Jacksonville Business Journal reports.

According to Ward, Alualu purchased his Queen's Harbour Yacht & Country Club home in January for $875,000 from former Jaguars guard Chris Naeole, who had purchased the home for $940,000 in 2002.

As the 10th overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, Alualu signed a five-year, $21.399 million contract that included $15.495 million in guarantees. Alualu took home over $3.4 million in total compensation last season, including a $1.77 million signing bonus and $1.32 million roster bonus during training camp.

Monroe, who currently has a home in Queen's Harbour, purchased a 6,000-foot home for $2.09 million late last month.

The eighth overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft, Monroe's five-year contract is worth $25 million, with $19.02 million guaranteed. Monroe's deal has already paid out $17.482 million over the first two years.
