Hasselbeck had hip/thigh drained on Saturday night
As Seahawks quarterback Matthew Hasselbeck prepares to attempt to finagle what would be a huge upset at Soldier Field against the Bears, Rachel Nichols of ESPN reports that Hasselbeck had 15 cc’s of fluid drained from his injured hip/thigh area on Saturday night, with a 14-gauge needle.
Hasselbeck played eight days ago against the Saints, but he missed the Week 17 NFC West none-of-the-above title game.
The veteran quarterback did not appear on the injury report this week. We’d wonder how big the needle would have had to be in order to result in Hasselbeck appearing on the report as virtually certain to be available for normal duties, i.e., probable.
