Bengals’ Odom gets 4-game suspension

The NFL has rejected Antwan Odom’s appeal and given the Bengals defensive end a four-game suspension for violating its policy on performance enhancing substances.

Odom appealed the suspension before the season started, hoping to have it reduced or eliminated. The league stuck with the full four games.

He would have likely missed the next couple of games anyway. Odom hurt his right knee during a 24-21 loss to Tampa Bay on Sunday and wore a brace this week. The Bengals are on their bye this weekend, and Odom expected to miss at least the next two games because of the injury.

Odom tore his right Achilles’ tendon last season, but made a full recovery. He has started three games and missed time with an injured left wrist.
