Ryan Mathews practices, probable for Sunday

Barring an unexpected turn, the Chargers offensive line will be able to show their appreciation for running back Ryan Mathews‘ gift of Gucci watches by clearing holes for him in Cincinnati on Sunday.
Mathews practiced for the first time this week on Friday and has been listed as probable for the team’s playoff tilt with the Bengals. Mathews has been sidelined by an ankle injury this week, but it would seem that the team was merely managing his workload with the goal of having him in the lineup on Sunday. It appears they’ve accomplished that mission and will have Mathews on the field to continue his strong season.
Wide receiver Eddie Royal did not practice at all this week and is listed as questionable because of a toe injury. Royal hasn’t practiced much in recent weeks, but has been on the field come gameday so it’s probably a good bet he’ll be in the lineup as well. Defensive lineman Sean Lissemore is also questionable after a week of limited practices because of a shoulder injury.
Defensive end Kendall Reyes rounds out the injury report with an ankle injury. He’s expected to play after getting in full practices each of the last two days.
