Arian Foster insists he’ll play Sunday

As we get closer and closer to the moment at which all of the Christmas presents simultaneously open with the commencement of nine games at once, more questions are being answered regarding the availability of key players.

Officially, the Texans say that running back Arian Foster is questionable to play with a knee problem that popped up out of nowhere on Thursday during practice. Unofficially, he’s a game-time decision. Privately, Foster continues to say he’s playing.

A source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that Foster still insists that he’s playing, and that the injury is minor.

The question remains whether and to what extent the Texans will use him against a Dolphins team that could be put away fairly early, given that it’s quarterback Ryan Tannehill’s first game and he doesn’t really have any weapons and the Texans have a pretty good (intentional understatement) defense.

So, like Adrian Peterson, Foster may play — but not play. And it could be that Ben Tate gets more reps and touches and yards and all the other stuff fantasy owners care about.
