49ers LB Patrick Willis Likely To Miss Some Time With Hamstring Injury

San Francisco 49ers Pro Bowl linebacker Patrick Willis underwent an MRI on his right hamstring on Monday. While the team is keeping the results, Willis will probably miss next week's game against the Arizona Cardinals, Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area reports.

Willis was injured in the first quarter of Sunday's 26-0 win over the St. Louis Rams. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Willis has a grade II sprain and that rest, not surgery, will be required to get Willis back on the field.

Willis has missed one game during his NFL career, the 2010 regular season finale. In 75 career games, Willis has 688 tackles, 17 quarterback sacks and five interceptions, including 93 tackles and two quarterback sacks in 2011. Willis' tackle totals rank second behind fellow inside linebacker NaVorro Bowman, who will be joined in the starting lineup by Larry Grant.
