Browns RB Peyton Hillis Aggravates Hamstring Injury

Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis aggravated his left hamstring injury during Friday's practice, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon-Journal reports.

According to Ulrich, Hillis came up limping after taking a hand-off, prompting the fourth-year running back to throw the ball and his helmet, presumably in frustration over an injury that has nagged him throughout his contract year.

Hillis left the field with a trainer, Ulrich adds.

After running for 1,177 yards and 11 touchdowns with 61 receptions for 477 yards and two touchdowns in 2010, his first season with the Browns, Hillis has just 211 yards and two touchdowns rushing in four games in 2011. Hillis missed a game earlier this season with an illness and has missed the last two weeks with the hamstring injury.

Hillis did not practice on Wednesday before returning on a limited basis on Thursday. The Browns will release their official injury report for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans this afternoon.
