Peyton Manning reportedly underwent stem cell procedure in Europe

The Indianapolis Colts are 0-2 while their quarterback and on-field leader, Peyton Manning, needs more time to recover from offseason neck surgery. With the team already in a dire position in the standings, Manning is taking every measure possible to make a return this season.

On FOX NFL Sunday's pregame show, Jay Glazer reported that Manning has already traveled to another continent for help with his health.

"I’ve learned that before his last surgery, Peyton Manning actually took a private jet out to Europe to get stem cell therapy," Glazer said on air Sunday. "It’s a therapy that is not yet approved in America just to take that extra step to try to get back and heal his neck."

According to Glazer, the therapy involves taking fat cells from another part of Manning's body to assist the regeneration of the nerve area around the neck.

With the delicate nature of the injury, the Colts are proceeding with caution, and it's no surprise, Manning with his highly competitive nature, is doing everything possible to fight his condition.
