Dolphins Sign DL Igor Olshansky

Free agent defensive end Igor Olshansky has signed with the Miami Dolphins, Chase Callahan, Olshansky's agent, announced on Twitter.

Terms were not disclosed.

A second-round pick out of the Oregon in 2004 by the San Diego Chargers, the 6-foot-5, 315-pound Olshansky has 257 tackles and 12.5 quarterback sacks during his seven-year career. Olshansky spent the last two seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, who released the 29-year-old two years into a five-year, $22.5 million contract.

The Dolphins are expected to be without defensive end Tony McDaniel (hand) for a few weeks.
