Raiders Sign Safeties Giordano, Bullocks

The Oakland Raiders have signed a pair of veteran safeties, adding Matt Giordano and Josh Bullocks to the roster on Monday, Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times reports.

Both players are expected to be at today's practice, Corkran adds.

Bullocks was a 2005 second-round pick out of Nebraska by the New Orleans Saints, and has totaled 290 tackles, one quarterback sack and six interceptions in 90 career games with the Saints (2005-08) and Chicago Bears, where he's spent the last two seasons.

A fourth-round pick out of Cal by the Indianapolis Colts, Giordano has 85 tackles and three interceptions in 69 games. After four seasons in Indianapolis, Giordano spent 2009 with the Green Bay Packers and last season with the Saints.

The Raiders likely lost veteran safety Hiram Eugene for the season to a dislocated hip.
