Heath Evans wants to play for Saints or Pats

Fullback Heath Evans, who will be a free agent whenever the lockout ends (and it could be ending within the next month), has two preferences for continuing his career.
First, he’d like to stay with the Saints.  Second, he’d like to go back to New England, where he played from 2005 through 2008.
“New Orleans would still be my first pick, because how I get used — I get my hands on the ball and get on the field more,” Evans said, per Christopher Price of WEEI.com.  “But what I learned in New England is irreplaceable.  It’s all about humble leadership.  They do things the right way, which is very attractive to a player.”
Evans won a Super Bowl with the Saints, but he arrived in New England after the team won its third Super Bowl.
“In my four years there, I learned so much football,” Evans said.  “I am forever indebted to Bill Belichick and Scott Pioli and Tedy Bruschi and Rodney Harrison and guys like that — they taught me how to become a true professional.  I loved my time in New England and it made me the player that I am today.”
Either way, he’s hoping the player that he is today will be playing football on a tomorrow in the near future.
