Wade Phillips continues to add staff members to his new crew with the Houston Texans.
Houston announced the addition of three defensive coaches Friday: Reggie Herring as linebackers coach, Vance Joseph as defensive backs coach, and John Butler as a defensive assistant. The team also reached agreement with Jim Ryan as an offensive assistant.
Herring worked for the Texans back in 2003 and was recently under Phillips in Dallas. Joseph comes from the 49ers. Butler and Ryan both have special teams backgrounds; Ryan was in the UFL last year in Omaha.
