Seahawks comfortable with RBs Lynch, Forsett

Major improvement in Seattle’s ground game is considered a key need. That said, we hear there hasn’t been much talk about making any major changes in the Seahawks’ RB corps, even though the offense ranked 31st in rushing yards and 29th in average gain per rush in 2010. “(Seahawks head coach Pete) Carroll is very happy with his main backs,” a team source said of RBs Marshawn Lynch and Justin Forsett. “(Fired offensive coordinator Jeremy) Bates just seemed to give up on the run way too much, while Pete wanted to stick with it more.” Will Lynch — whose amazing tackle-breaking TD romp in Seattle’s wild-card upset of the Saints has been well-documented — run more than Forsett moving forward? “It will still depend on the flow of the games,” the source said. “There are certain situations where the team feels Forsett’s elusive style still makes him the best weapon.”
