Massage therapists sue Favre, Jets over sexual harrassment

Two women have filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Brett Favre, the New York Jets and the woman in charge of hiring massage therapists for the organization.
ABC News reports that a lawsuit was filed in New York today in which Christina Scavo and Shannon O’Toole alleging harassment during 2008 when Favre played for the Jets. That is also the period of time when he allegedly sent lewd text messages to Jenn Sterger, then a sideline reporter for the team.
Per the report, Scavo alleges that Favre “sent text messages to another unidentified massage therapist, asking Scavo and the unidentified woman to ‘get together’” with him. Scavo’s husband Joseph reportedly confronted Favre and demanded he stop soliciting his wife. Scavo and O’Toole were not offered further work from the Jets.
The attorney for the women said they did not want to file suit but had no choice when the Jets did not offer the women employment again.
So, Favre rides off into the sunset and the news continues to unfold.
