Peterson looking good for Sunday night; Favre doubtful

Vikings quarterback Brett Favre  hasn’t passed the necessary post-concussion tests to be cleared to play this week and seems very unlikely to suit up Sunday night.  The Vikings aren’t going to make the mistake of listing him as out again, though.

Favre was listed as doubtful on Friday’s injury report.  Last week, the team had him out all week until a random day-of-game upgrade when he changed his mind.  He’ll need to complete post-concussion league procedures to have a chance this time.

Joe Webb will likely get the call at quarterback, but it wouldn’t be a shock if Patrick Ramsey got some action.  It also looks like the Vikings will get running back Adrian Peterson back in the mix.

“[Peterson] was able to do some things and feel pretty good about the fact he’ll probably make it,” interim coach Leslie Frazier said via the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. “I think he’ll probably make it.”

Peterson is officially questionable with his thigh injury.
