Drew Stanton, Zac Robinson take snaps at quarterback for Lions

Lions starting quarterback Matthew Stafford is still out with his latest shoulder injury.  Backup Shaun Hill has an finger injury, which according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press could knock Hill out for the balance of the season.

As a result, Drew Stanton and Zac Robinson took the snaps at practice on Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.

Coach Jim Schwartz refused to talk about the situation.  “With the Bears not practicing today . . . no sense giving them the jump on anything,” Schwartz said.  Teams are not required to submit injury reports before Wednesday.

That said, does it really matter whether the Bears will be preparing for Shaun Hill (who is OK), Drew Stanton (who isn’t), and Robinson (who is he?).

Then again, if the Lions play their cards right, they’ll be competitive until the third or fourth quarter, at which time the Bears will send a supposedly improving Detroit team to 2-10.
