Vikings CB Cook (knee) out for Monday night

Vikings CB Chris Cook tore the meniscus in his left knee during practice this week and will miss Monday night's game against the Jets.

PFW correspondent and Minneapolis Star Tribune writer Judd Zulgad was the first to report Cook's injury. The Vikings' top draft pick in April, Cook missed the first two games of the year with the same injury in his right knee.

Cook recorded five tackles and a pass defended in Week Three against the Lions.

The injury means more playing time for veteran CB Lito Sheppard. Through three games, the Vikings have the eighth-best pass defense in the league.
