Dolphins rookie Jared Odrick expected to miss at least two weeks

Tuesday is supposed to be the quiet day of the NFL week, but this one has been action-packed and devastating for many of the injured players in the league.

Dolphins defensive end Jared Odrick, the team's first-round pick, is expected to miss six weeks of action with a broken fibula, according to Jason La Canfora of NFL Network. (UPDATE: Two reporters, ESPN's Adam Schefter and Jeff Darlington of the Miami Herald, dispute this report. Schefter says Odrick will miss two weeks with a hairline fracture.)

Odrick started in Week One against the Bills and was one of many Dolphins defenders to smother the Bills offense on Sunday. With Philip Merling done for the season, what looked like a position of strength in Miami now looks a little bit thin.
