Oakland Raiders head coach Tom Cable dismissed the notion that WR Darrius Heyward-Bey (hamstring) is battling a hamstring injury, according to Steve Corkran, of ANG Newspapers. However, he was sporting a sizable wrap that extended from below his left knee and somewhere up around the thigh region. It seemed rather apparent in practice Monday, Aug. 16, that Heyward-Bey tweaked his hamstring. Yet, Cable says Heyward-Bey's lack of activity the past two days in practice owes more to 'fatigue.'

Heyward-Bey had a lot of hype surrounding him during the early part of training camp, with reports saying he looked 'better than ever.' Well, he dropped an easy pass in the Raiders opening preseason game and now is missing practice. Heyward-Bey has little fantasy value in most re-draft leagues at this time, but could be a waiver wire pick during the season if he gets healthy and starts to play up to his potential.
