NYG - QB Jim Sorgi out 2-3 weeks

New York Giants QB Jim Sorgi (shoulder) suffered a torn capsule and partial dislocation of his right throwing shoulder and will miss the rest of the preseason, reports the New York Daily News' Ralph Vacchiano. This injury is not related to the partially torn labrum Sorgi was already playing with, and if it had been, the Giants likely would have insisted Sorgi undergo season-ending shoulder surgery. One source familiar with Sorgi's injury said the Giants don't believe this injury is as severe as the torn shoulder capsule that ended Miami Dolphins QB Chad Pennington's season last year.

With Sorgi out, and Manning sitting this week, the Giants will turn to the gunslinger Rhett Bomar in their preseason game this week against the Steelers.
