Larry Fitzgerald helped his team pull the upset with 149 yards. |
SF -4 over Arizona: This looked pretty good when the Niners went up 19-7, but it didn't hold up. The Niner offense stalled and they couldn't produce any points when they needed them most, and continued to perform poorly in the redzone. The defense gave up big play after big play and allowed Arizona to beat them after the offense allowed them to hang around. It's interesting that Larry Fitzgerald looks MUCH better when Skelton is in at QB.
Detroit -10 over Minnesota: No excuse for this one. Up 31-14 at halftime, we seemed well on our way to a blowout. However, in a very un-Lion like fashion, the Detroit offense disappeared in the second half, allowing Minnesota to cover and very nearly win outright. Nonetheless, I love Detroit only giving 1 point to Oakland right now and think they'll rebound this week.
SD/Buffalo OVER 48: Oh, how blocked extra points always find a way to be a factor. This should have been a push, but instead, it's a loss. Buffalo couldn't hold up their end of the bargain and the Bills offense was outscored by their own defense. The Chargers have put up big numbers in two straight games now, and whispers of another crazy San Diego December are beginning to start. Huge matchup with Baltimore coming up. The Bills are toast.

WINS
Houston +3 over Cincy: Another exciting finish and T.J. Yates was able to come through with the cover. I don't think they'll win the Super Bowl this season with Yates at QB, but he proved he was good enough to make sure they won the division and made the playoffs. If they're lucky, they'll may even win a game in the post-season. Cincy continues to struggle against good teams and is now a game out of a Wild Card spot.
Green Bay -11.5 over Oakland: How many people are saying Oakland giving up two first-rounders for Palmer is a good deal now? Looks like they've mortgaged their future again, and they likely won't win the division or make the playoffs, again. Green Bay looks rather unstoppable these days. Won't be surprised one bit if they go 16-0.
