The Rambling Gambler Guest Column Pick Six Week 7

Well the honeymoon is not quite over, but I have received a recent telegram from The Rambling Gambler as to what his Pick Six set is this week—and I will relay them over to you.  I will write up his rationale and add some commentary as appropriate---Might as well as long as I’m holding his pen for this column.

San Diego -2 over the Jets
Only have to give two points?!?  Chargers have been playing well , and the Rambling Gambler isn’t convinced at all about the Jets prowess.  I’m not either.  San Diego has played well at the line of scrimmage scoring high on the FootballERA formula—and they have big play ability to boot.  This one would be given “the Lock of the Week” by most handicappers.

Denver +0 over the Dolphins
The Rambling Gambler likes Tebow over the Fins and sees nothing good about their recent performances.  I personally would stay away from this game because Miami actually plays well at times at the Line of Scrimmage.  The problem is that they can’t make any plays in the red zone to capitalize and are always one big play away from losing.  Tebow has shown flashes of big play ability and can be dangerous in the red zone.

Dallas -12 over the Rams
The Rams held up pretty well in the second half against Green Bay, but this was after the game was already out of reach.  This was also with Sam Bradford.  The Rambling Gambler likes Dallas to roll over St. Louis against the AJ Feeley led Rams.

Baltimore -9 over the Jags
Erik likes Baltimore to roll over Jacksonville, and I really can’t see any reason why not.  Despite the Jags efforts to keep the game relatively close at Pittsburgh last week, the Ravens are really rolling and are dominant at the Line of Scrimmage.

Houston +3 over the Titans
The Rambling Gambler sees this as a must win after a couple of hard losses.  While Tennessee may not be a pushover, I totally concur.

New Orleans -14 over the Colts
The Gambler likes the Saints as the angry team that just lost to the Bucs to turn it around against the Colts.  So far New Orleans has shown that they are solid on both sides of the ball so I can’t argue with this one.
