Report: Foster won’t play for Texans

Arian Foster apparently will not play because of a hamstring injury, according to ESPN's Bob Holtzman, who is in Houston reporting during the network's pre-game show.

ESPN showed video footage of Foster riding on a cart, and said that was a further indication that Foster, who was pronounced a “game-time decision” after missing all week with a hamstring injury, would not suit up for the opener against the Indianapolis Colts.

Inactives are officially due 90 minutes before kickoff, which is at noon CDT.

In addition to the NFL's reigning rushing champion being out for the Texans, the Colts, of course, will be without Peyton Manning, whose streak of 208 consecutive regular season starts ends today. Manning did not make the trip with the Colts to Houston, Kerry Collins will start for Indy.
