The Philadelphia Eagles announced that they have signed free agent running back Ronnie Brown to a one-year deal.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The second overall pick of the 2005 NFL Draft by, Brown has rushed for 4,815 yards and 36 touchdowns for the Miami Dolphins over the last six seasons, adding 184 receptions for 1,491 yards and two touchdowns.
Brown bounced back from a knee injury in 2007 to earn Pro Bowl honors in 2008, with Brown running for 916 yards and 10 touchdowns as the "Wildcat" offense took the league by storm.
In Philadelphia, the 29-year-old provides insurance behind LeSean McCoy.
