The NFL Players Association plans to continue talks through the weekend, Albert Breer of the NFL Network reports.
Breer adds that there's urgency on both sides, but the players will not rushed into a deal they don't like because of that urgency.
Earlier on Friday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the NFLPA player reps emailed players to to say that they were reviewing the owner's proposal and would be meeting on Monday. Judy Battista of the New York Times reports that neither NFLPA Executive Director DeMaurice Smith nor Assistant Executive Director of External Affairs George Atallah know anything about that email.
