Vick uses 'careful consideration' in canceling Oprah interview

Michael Vick said he used “careful consideration” in making the decision to cancel an interview with Oprah Winfrey that was to happen on Thursday.
According to USA Today, Vick’s people called Tuesday night to cancel the interview. It was supposed to air Feb. 24.

"After careful consideration, I will need to postpone the taping of the Oprah Winfrey interview scheduled for February 22. I admire and respect Oprah and hope to be able to participate in an interview in the future," Vick said in a statement, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The NFL’s comeback player of the year has been hailed for his return from a prison stint. USA Today speculates that Vick may have canceled the appearance after a situation in Dallas during the week of Super Bowl XLV. Radio host Richard Hunter, who adopted one of the dogs rescued from Vick’s dogfighting operation, approached Vick with a photo of the dog.
Per the report, Hunter was cursed at by members of Vick’s entourage and told, “We don’t care about the dog.”
But short of some poorly planned parties last summer, Vick has done a fine job keeping himself out of bad situations.
There are no plans right now for a rescheduled Vick interview with Winfrey.
