Now that the Tennessee Titans have interviewed the frontrunner for their head coaching vacancy, their attention turns Tuesday toward offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger, according to TitanInsider
Offensive line coach Mike Munchak interviewed Monday and is widely expected to land the job.
The Titans are also expected to interview linebackers coach Dave McGinnis, the former Arizona Cardinals head coach.
Heimerdinger, who's battling a rare form of cancer and has undergone chemotherapy, told TitanInsider earlier this season that he still wants to be a head coach.
“I would like to have that opportunity and that chance to see what I could do,” Heimerdinger said. “When I got in this league that was always my goal to be a head coach.”
It's unclear if New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, a close friend of former coach Jeff Fisher, will interview for the job.
