LaRon Landry making progress after wrist surgery, Achilles strain
Redskins safety LaRon Landry had surgery 10 days ago to repair a dislocated left wrist that has been bothering him for close to five months.
Landry told the Washington Post that he suffered the injury during Week 2 and knew it was bad that night, but he kept playing on it because, “You do what you gotta do.” Landry’s wrist will be in a cast for 4-6 weeks.
Although the Redskins listed Landry as questionable with a wrist injury on the Week 3 injury report, he managed to start that game and six more games before a badly strained left Achilles’ tendon resulted in him going on Injured Reserve on December 13.
Landry said his Achilles’ tendon feels like it’s “about 90 percent,” but he hasn’t started running yet.
