Tom Cable lands in Seattle

The Seattle Seahawks are moving quickly to reshape their coaching staff.
The club announced that Tom Cable, the recently fired coach of the Oakland Raiders, has been hired as assistant head coach and offensive line coach. Seattle had longtime offensive line coach Alex Gibbs quit at the start of the season when he couldn’t see eye-to-eye with offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates, a source said.
The Seahawks also hired Todd Wash, the former assistant for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as defensive line coach. The team also announced Kris Richard and Rocky Seto were promoted to coach the secondary.
Now, the Seahawks will work to replace Bates as the offensive coordinator after Josh McDaniels picked the St. Louis Rams this afternoon.
