New York Giants tight end Kevin Boss underwent arthroscopic hip surgery on Wednesday to alleviate an injury that plagued him for much of this past season.
The 27-year-old Boss is slated to be a free agent and his future remains up in the air. He’s a productive part of the Giants’ passing attack and a decent in-line blocker. According to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News, a source said the procedure was “minor” and Boss tweeted that surgery “went well” after it was over.
The Giants have said they will not re-sign any players until a new collective bargaining agreement is hammered out. That’s the approach most teams will likely take as they want to see what the guidelines are going to be moving forward.
