Jaguars have offensive line issues too
It could be a good day for pass rushers in the New Meadlowlands on Sunday.
Giants left tackle Shawn Andrews, already a replacement, was in the hospital Thursday because of his back issues. Meanwhile, the Jaguars’ left tackle Eugene Monroe failed a baseline concussion test Friday and is highly uncertain to play on Sunday. Monroe hasn’t practiced all week. The team is also without right tackle Eben Britton, who is out for the season.
Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union reports the Jaguars aren’t giving up hope on Monroe. If he isn’t cleared for the game, former Giant Guy Whimper may be at left tackle for Jacksonville.
Translation: This should be the week New York’s pass rush breaks out of a mini-funk.
UPDATE: Monroe is now officially out.
