Russell Okung out for opener, while Jordan Babineaux is coming back to Seattle
When safety Jordan Babineaux was released by Seattle, a lot of Seahawks fans seemed to think it was a move that was long overdue. So they probably won't love the news that Babineaux is coming back into the fold this week, according to Jason La Canfora of NFL Network.
(The report has since been confirmed. Babineaux is surely coming back at a reduced rate.)
If Seahawks fans don't like that news, they really won't like coach Pete Carroll confirming that No. 6 overall pick Russell Okung will miss Week One.
The team will start Tyler Polumbus or Chester Pitts in Okung's place. Meanwhile, right tackle Sean Locklear is supposedly on the trading block and not likely to be on the team by Sunday.
Matt Hasselbeck just threw up a little in his mouth.
